Pre-requisites
To be eligible for consideration for the Executive MBA, applicants must have earned an undergraduate bachelors degree.

Requirements
The following criteria will be taken into consideration when the admission decision is being made:

  1. Total years of professional/business work experience (minimum five years)
  2. Years of significant managerial experience (minimum two years)
  3. Level of current position (early to mid-level manager or higher) and accomplishments achieved to date
  4. Undergraduate grade point average
  5. Undergraduate major/degree
  6. Undergraduate university
  7. Graduate degree, certificate/certification, etc., if applicable
  8. GMAT score required (may be waived based on other factors)
  9. Personal interview demonstrating potential to succeed in program
  10. Maturity (ability to interact well in cohort-based program)
  11. Resume, Work History, and Statement of Purpose

It is expected that successful applicants will have a GPA of 2.75 or higher and a GMAT score of at least 450. Exceptions may be made based on professional experience, undergraduate background, and/or other professional factors.

If your application is accepted, a personal interview will be scheduled. Once the personal interview has been completed, a final admission decision will be made. If accepted after the personal interview, you will be notified by the EMBA Director and asked to submit the following:

  1. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 made out to "Louisiana Tech Foundation."
  2. A completed graduate school admission form accompanied by all required documentation (including GMAT score if available/applicable, non-refundable application fee of $40.00, and official academic transcripts from all colleges and universities). You will receive specific instructions on completing this application from the EMBA Director.

Tuition and Payment Schedule
The all-inclusive cost for the EMBA program is $26,000. Financial aid for up to the full cost of the program depending on need, is offered through the Department of Student Financial Aid. The student will submit payments for the EMBA program on the following schedule unless other arrangements have been agreed to in writing by the EMBA program director prior to the due date. All payments are non-refundable. Non-payment may result in the student being removed from the EMBA program.

The initial $1,000 deposit must be made payable to the "Louisiana Tech Foundation" with an "EMBA program" notation. The remaining four payments of $6,250 must be made payable to "Louisiana Tech University" with an "EMBA program" notation.

Shreveport Cohort Payment Schedule:

  • $5000 due on or before August 15, 2011
    $2500 due on or before November 21, 2011
    $5000 due on or before February 20, 2012
    $5000 due on or before August 13, 2012
    $2500 due on or before November 19, 2012
    $5000 due on or before February 18, 2013

Monroe Cohort Payment Schedule:

  • $5000 due on or before August 15, 2012
    $2500 due on or before November 21, 2012
    $5000 due on or before February 20, 2013
    $5000 due on or before August 13, 2013
    $2500 due on or before November 19, 2013
    $5000 due on or before February 18, 2014

2009-2010 payment schedule:

  1. The initial $1,000 deposit is due with the contract letter that will be mailed to you upon acceptance into the program. This deposit will reserve a seat in the program.
  2. Term 1: $6,250 due on or before January 2, 2009
  3. Term 2: $6,250 due on or before September 1, 2009
  4. Term 3: $6,250 due on or before January 2, 2010
  5. Term 4: $6,250 due on or before September 1, 2010

Monroe Program
2010-2011 payment schedule:

  1. The initial $1,000 deposit is due with the contract letter that will be mailed to you upon acceptance into the program. This deposit will reserve a seat in the program.
  2. Term 1: $6,250 due on or before January 4, 2010
  3. Term 2: $6,250 due on or before September 3, 2010
  4. Term 3: $6,250 due on or before January 3, 2011
  5. Term 4: $6,250 due on or before September 2, 2011

Contractual Agreement
Once approved for admission into the EMBA program, the College of Business at Louisiana Tech University will enter into a contractual agreement with the EMBA student. The purpose of this contract is to delineate the responsibilities of the College of Business in delivery of services as well as the responsibilities of the student.

Each student enrolled in the EMBA program will:

  1. Make timely payments of tuition including a non-refundable $1,000 initial deposit to reserve a seat in the program, and four payments of $6,250 according to the schedule provide above.
  2. Attend all class sessions on time and notify the instructor regarding any absences in a timely manner.
  3. Come to class prepared, having read and completed all course materials required for each class.
  4. Participate in class to make the classroom experience rich and fulfilling.

Louisiana Tech University College of Business will:

  1. Provide the students with a curriculum taught by experienced graduate faculty.
  2. Offer a learning experience that is geared toward managers and executives and delivered in an accelerated format that facilitates learning within the students' work schedule.
  3. Provide the following which are all-inclusive with the cost of the EMBA program: tuition, fees, books, supplies, meals, refreshments, and graduation regalia.
  4. Award graduate credit for coursework successfully completed in the EMBA program but excluding the foundation modules.
  5. Award an AACSB International Accredited MBA degree through Louisiana Tech University.
